How long is warsong gulch

Yes, I know I have half the hitpoints of the rest of you. That will improve as I get new gear, which is very likely the same reason you are here. Berating me or patronizing me about my skills, or lack thereof, is helping no one. The new people are easy to identify. We die quickly and often. Comment by If you find your team and the other team with opposite flags, it is best to send a good sized gruope to retrieve your factions flag.

Otherwise it will be a very long and boring game. Plus, this one time, I was killed by a level 25 when I was a Because his or her character was buffed up with spells and abilities. So it is very important to buff yor own teamates for it might be the difference between victory and defeat. Comment by Ilany This battleground recieved some changes with the recent 2.

It won't increase anymore after this. This means that damage dealt to the players holding the flag will be doubled, making it close to impossible for healers to outheal some decent nuke. This is to prevent Warsong Gulch from lasting several hours. Also, flag carriers can now be tracked on everyone's map 45 seconds after the flag has been picked up. Comment by This is a great BG for a healing class to pick an overgeared S3 titan to follow around, heal, and soak up the HKs from.

Find a good Warrior or Warlock and practice LoSing enemies where possible and you'll do fine. Comment by As stated above, that a good healer is like 2 dps'ers, is very very true. I did lots of bg yesterday. We won three times in a row. One time, we would have lost, if we didn't have two good healers at our base.

A rogue in our team, had the flag, was standing at the roof, the plateau where you get via ramp and like 7 horde were hitting him. All horde focussed on the rogue, but he didn't die because of the healing. Meanwhile, me and 3 other dps'ers, could kill the horde, because they only focussed on the FC. If they would've killed the healers. Anyway, because so many horde were focussing at our FC, two or three of our team, could go to Horde camp, where our flag was, and they killed him. All work together.

That's like more than 2,5k per minute. Comment by Notes on PTR for 2. Comment by Crazykill It,s me or the waiting time of the battlegroud is really elevated, its bugged? Comment by Tip: the best flag cacthers are druids. Comment by nemohawk22 The story behind the battleground represents when Grom Hellscream and the Warsong Clan were harvesting lumber for the settlement Thall had a vision of. The Night elfs engaged Grom and with the help of the demi-god Cenarius they destroyed the settlement.

Grom then drank from a well that had been corrupted with Mannoroth's Blood the Demon who corrupted the orcs in the first place. With renewed power the orcs killed Cenarius and corrupted Ashenvale. Frost mages with Frostbite will do great since Ice Armor has a chance of freezing the enemy.

Comment by Hello friends a question: Getting to this part of the map? Comment by Hetal a good tactic is to take 2 rouges and go next to the flag in stealth mode then one of them takes the flag and runs using 1 of the exits he uses sprint but anyway next to the exit the other team kills him.

When they restore the flag the 2 rouge runs through the other exit. The more rouges you use the more effective this tactic is. Comment by my most used spot when i get the flag is the 2nd floor of the tunnel roof not much people are smart enough to know how to get to the middle.

So its perfect just make sure your supports are smart enough to get there too. Comment by dno bout anyone else but.. Comment by "Hey guys, lets show those Alliance who's boss! Let's go steal their flag! Comment by i m an horde but hordes are never works in team all of my friends fighting single i hate it! This is for lvl 80 people, but you can replace the "tank" with a twink of sorts. Make sure your tank gets the flag.

This is the most important part of the plan. Get your healers and tanks and the rest of the bunch into the opposing teams GY. Watch how everyone calls you a noob etc This might only happen at the bracket i'm doing it in, lvl 80s might be better sports about this. I mean, i've never had so much fun while playing wow as when i was looking at how these people were "reporting me" ;.

Enjoy, and ruin the day of the opposing team! Comment by To now gain exalted rep with your WSG faction from neutral it would take around wins not counting rep from the bonus weekends or the rep you could gain from losses. Comment by Anallogy i was a non twink in there only lv32, but still i had this freaking llv32 undead rogue twinked hitting me all the time. Same for Arathi Basin. This is strange. Comment by Grunge I wish BG tabards would require exalted status to wear.

It would mean so much more to wear your favorite factions colors, and it would show you are a serious pvper. Comment by Beastana This battleground is a simple game of 'capture the flag', only with lions, guns, and axes. Everyone knows how to play: Capture the other teams flag, run it across the field without dying, or losing it Feigning Death, mounting, etc and get it to your base. If the other team has the flag, you cannot return yours or capture your flag until the other team drops it, by killing the flag holder.

The Alliance side seems to be similiar to Teldrassil, or Ashenvale, while the Horde side of the field is based off The Barrens look. In the little huts and houses on the sides of the battleground, there's usually a speed, health, or enragement buff that you just run into to gain.

The graveyards are high above the ground, and you jump off to start your run after you die unless you want to go the long way around This is the first battleground that any player can enter at level 10, and there's a limit to 10 players a side. Good luck:. Isnt more worth to go AV instead? Listen to what the competent players are saying of midfield and exit tunnel ONLY if a group has cleared out the trash there and is waiting to help. Comment by try goin ramp when u pick up flag and stay on the sides and try avoiding enemies.

It is easier as hunter with track humanoid. Try running into ur group to protect u and capture flag. But if they have ur flag i recommend 6 things. Give to someone with more hp to hold flag while u retrieve flag. Go to graveyard for some protection. Run around the base and not settle in one area so rogues can get u.

Hide on the roofing above tunnel exit so its difficult to lose flag and if u do it will take long for enemy to get their and return flag. Turtle flag and have some people retrieve flag 6. Comment by It's like a developer was playing WSG for once in 4 years and said "Wow, this sucks.. Comment by to imform u after the next patch warsong gulch will be at max 20 min long or less if its blow out. Or the one with the most points win. It will still be 10 vs. Comment by Fool proof strat.

I got the final one, but, just as I entered the flag room with the flag, time ran out. I don't see why they felt the need to add a time limit of 20 minutes. It was just fine before, and there's no use in fixing something that isn't broken, right? Comment by Thottbot anyone have a link to complete list of faction rewards for this BG? Comment by Thottbot Nope, it's from and a lvl 60 all by its own.

Comment by Thottbot I'm a lavel 20 warrior. When I'm in the Battlegrounds it seems everyone there is much higher in level and I seem to die alot. I'm fairly new to this game and I try new things, however this doesn't always sit well with my "teamates", who really don't believe in teamwork unless its to blame a loss on the lower ranking person there, ME. I queuss what I'm trying to say is when you people are fighting in Warsong Gulch be patient with the Noob's they are trying, no one likes to lose but it does and will happen.

Aside from that as soon as I understand the concept better capture the flag I will probably have more fun. Comment by Thottbot battlegrounds is split up between lvls and I wouldn't do any sort of battlegrounds until your 5 lvls into your decade of lvls.

Way more than when I played Yes it all comes down to working together. I think as players begin to enter more instances they realize that the best way to bring down your opponent is for everyone to concentrate on the same target. The horde at lower level seems to understand this. But the SOLO grinders on alliance side need to learn it. Often you get the one fellow who runs off alone and is able to stand alone and maybe get a flag who says he don't need any help. If you made it solo its only because the Horde was busy chopping up your fellow players while you ran around!

I very seldom get beaten by a solo horde even a shaman. Problem is I very seldom get to prove that cause that horde member either already has a team mate with him, or one is on the way. I Always love to have at least one other player with me, the more the better! Even when taken out, we take one or two with us! Alliance is just every man for himself. Take the victory, and credit or take the loss and place the blame.

Horde spend more time in WSG with people they play with often and know how to work with those people. Whoevers turn it is in queue. The horde knows when its up against a good group of alliance players and their whole battle strategy changes! Thats when the game gets really good! Once an alliance group shows its working together. We win a lot more often than we lose! Comment by Thottbot Imagine everyones surprise when I told them my pet couldn't hold aggro!

I actually have two primary pets. Everyone knows that pets can't hold aggro against a PVP player. Growl only works on computer controlled opponents. Since there are none of those in the BG's, why waist a limited talent spot with growl? While your opponent runs around looking for that pets owner, you can get in several cheap shots!

And you can still keep Dash to use as you like along with 2 attacks! With a limited number of ability slots available on a pet it's best to have two so constant re-training isn't needed.

LOL Or you'll be explaining to your team why you pet can't hold aggro! Comment by Thottbot rule 1: dont piss off any healers, especially if youre the flag carrier. Comment by Thottbot A lot of posters constantly advise that the reason the Horde wins in the WSG so often is because they work together much better than the alliance seems to have the ability to. Some say its mainly because of the Shaman character alone, with other remarking that Horde heals their group better than we do, or has more magic users.

Even I recently have said its the rogues that have an unfair advantage in this short Capture the Flag type format and the game has become more of a "recapture" your flag so you can "capture" your opponents. All of these areas need improvement alliance! Get more healers to come out. More often 3 or more. The truth is the main problem is more obvious. There are very few if any low level 40's to be seen!

The average lvl for alliance is 45 if we're lucky! Its not uncommon at all to find half your 10 players below medum level for that battleground! Tons of low lvl 40's that wouldn't go near a creature 6 levels above them think they can help in the BG's? That was probably pre-xrealm but still.

Queues like that are not atypical. Funniest thing to do and i recommend alliance to do is queue as a man for wsg, get horde flag and just dont turn it in.

Wsg has no time limit, so you can make the game last as long as you want. Hilarious to see horde that spent 20 min queuing for a game to get in and afk out after 10 mins when they realise its hopeless, to then get a 15 min deserter debuff. The Night elves , who have begun a massive push to retake the forests of Ashenvale, are now focusing their attention on ridding their land of the Outriders once and for all.

And so, the Silverwing Sentinels have answered the call and sworn that they will not rest until every last Orc is defeated and cast out of Warsong Gulch. The Silverwing Outpost is near the junction of the main road through Ashenvale and the road south to The Barrens. Be very careful if you are below level 20; in the area around the Silverwing Grove are many spiders with strong venom.

Instead of traveling to the actual entrance, you can be transported to the battleground by talking to the Battlemasters in the cities of Stormwind Stormwind Keep , Darnassus Warrior's Terrace , the Exodar Vault of Lights or Ironforge Military Ward.

Both factions will also find Battlemasters in Shattrath City. As of patch 3. Player window. They will return to the location they chose to enter the battleground, not the queue, when the game ends. Warsong Gulch is a multiple instance zone hosting a Capture the Flag style match for 10 on 10 level bracketed PvP action.

Each side needs at least 5 players or the game will end after 5 minutes. The brackets are currently as of Wrath of the Lich King :. There can be multiple instances for a particular bracket if there are enough level appropriate participants for a given level bracket.

Resurrection in Warsong Gulch functions as normal, but if your insignia is taken you can only be resurrected at your local graveyard by an NPC who casts a resurrection every 30 seconds. As of 1. You are put in the "resurrection wave". Hunters and Warlocks will have their current or most recent pet resurrected as well, even if that pet was not alive at the time of the player's death or if the pet has not been summoned since entering the battleground.

Death Knights with the Master of Ghouls talent will have their ghoul resurrected if it was summoned at the time of death and was still alive when the Death Knight died. The final is most common in PUGS and least likely to produce a victory while any of the first three can be made to work depending on the composition of the given team.

The key to victory is communication with the other players in your faction. Take the time before the game starts to agree on what strat you will be using but be prepared to change if you need to as events develop. By communicating, your teammates will have the edge and be able to anticipate your enemies' position and movements. It is useful to know, for example, if the opposing faction has characters camped at your graveyard.

They will return to the location they chose to enter the battleground, not the queue, when the game ends. Payment: PayPal, Skrill, Cryptocurrencies. Both factions will also find Battlemasters in Shattrath City and Dalaran.
