The reason to buy MHz is if you are heavily OCing. RAM speed is set by your motherboard and processor combination. In short, yes mhz ram will work at mhz just fine. Whereas the mhz is a better grade ddr4 than the Mhz and the ddr4 Mhz.

Difference will be slight to unnoticible, except maybe in heavily DRAM intensive apps.
