One of the main aspect of progresive rock and metal music genre is that songs tend to be longer than 3 minutes. This histogram confirms that, most songs from this dataset are longer than 5 minute, with few even as long as 15 or 17 minute. Most entries are above 90 BPM reaching even up to BPM, which in musical understanding it ranges from moderate tempo to very fast. Majority of songs in key of E are minor, in key of G and D are major, while the rest of the keys have similar mode distribution.
In progressive rock and metal a lot of melodies sound sad, depressed or angry and aggresive, even when major mode is used. From collection of 11 different artist and 27 albums, after short exploration and analysis of data, I can conclude that my favourite songs are equally in minor and major modality. But when looked at combination of keys and modes the most popular key in both modes is A, follwed by mostly E minor. Even with minor key being considerd sadder then major, valence values are similiar for both modalities and tends to be closer to 0.
Tempo varies from 60 to with range between 90 and being the most used. From songs over of them are longer then 5 minutes.
